Also referred to as iTips or micro links, microbead extensions are very durable and a good fit for those with thick hair, curly hair, and those an active lifestyle. Hair attaches to the natural hair with a tiny bead and a small crimping tool. Micro bead extensions may not be as popular as tape ins, but they have earned their place in my collection. They look very natural, they are comfortable and require less daily detangling than other methods. My clients comment how they are very easy to wash and maintain. Here's everything you need to know.

We get a lot of requests for that long, wavy Mermaid Hair. Just like it sounds, it's the dreamy flowing curls, effortlessly styled like you just stepped out of a fairy tale.

How Are Micro Bead Extensions Installed?

These hair extensions are a strand-by-strand application, installed without using heat or glue. Application is achieve by threading each tip and a strand of the client’s hair into the BELLAMI looping tool, through a BELLAMI looping bead and then attached by clamping the bead to the clients hair. Bellami uses high quality copper beads with protective silicone lining which is the most gentle on hair.

I find that micro bead extensions are the ideal method for achieving that look.

The hair for all of these brands is 100% Remy human hair and come in a variety of pre-colored shades and lengths.

How long they last:

Your micro bead extensions will need to be maintained every 6-8 weeks at the salon. Wefts of hair will need to be re-tipped and beads need to be replaced every other maintenance visit. Hair can last between 6-12 months depending on the brand of the hair and home care.

Color:

Hair comes pre-colored in a selection of natural shades, rooted an balayage shades, and fashion colors. Colors can be mixed and matched to create dimension, highlights and lowlights. The hair can also be custom colored.

This brief appointment gives us a chance to meet each other so that we can assess your hair type and color. After this brief session, we will provide you with a quote.

Consultations are free of charge, can be done in person (recommended) or by Facetime, and can be conducted in a quiet corner of the salon or in completely private setting behind closed doors. Just let us know your preference.
